Piper PA23 Apache Geronimo Conversion

FWDI is the schools complex aircraft trainer, used by both our Multi Engine and Group 1 Instrument students. The twin sports two (2) 180 O-360-A1A engines at 180 HP, an Aspen AFD, autopilot, tip tanks and a Garmin 430. Students will be well equipped and trained on complex procedures in preparation for their next steps as a professional pilot.

GUJS, GXMF, GFTY and FLHN

Cessna 172Ms, Cessna 172N

Maple Wings primary training fleet for our Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Night and Instrument Ratings is comprised of the Cessna 172Ms and 172N model (FLHN). Students will be introduced to all aircraft systems during their training and will learn the worlds most popular training aircraft fully! All fleet Cessnas are equipped with traditional analog steam gauges and a Garmin GPS. GFTY is equipped with G5 avionics to assist in higher level commercial and instrument training for advanced licencing. GFTY and FLHN are equipped with long range tanks (52 US Gallons) while GUJS and GXMF are standard range (42 US Gallons).

GYVU, GZWI

Cessna 152

For the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and Commercial Pilot Licence programs, Maple Wings uses two (2) Cessna 152s. Students are able to experience an aircraft that is quite nimble at lower costs, saving money on your total flight training costs. Both Cessna 152s are equipped with traditional steam gauges and a Garmin GPS. GZWI is equipped with a touch screen Garmin 175 that can be utilized by students working on more advanced navigational flight training.

If a pilot chooses to have instruction using their own plane, the dual instruction rate will be $100. Pilots will also have to provide proof of insurance and the airplane documents relating to maintenance.  Instruction on the pilot's own plane will only take place if the Instructor is satisfied with the condition of the aircraft and the aircraft documents.
